Job summary

CVS Health’s Meritain Health underwriting team seeks an experienced professional to guide pricing, stop loss strategies, and financial projections. You will prepare quotations and collaborate with Sales to tailor proposals for a diversified client base.

You’ll work remotely with a national book of business, leveraging Excel and Salesforce to analyze data and support decision-making. A strong background in medical insurance and cross-functional teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of applicable medical insurance experience (brokers, carriers, TPAs, underwriting, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and consultation to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepare and issue quotations and other financial deliverables for prospects and existing business.
• Prepare financial projections on prospects using financial models in Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies, negotiate terms based on claims data and cost avoidance efforts.
• Work with leaders from key functional areas to understand impacts for custom requests.
• Manage and interpret operational data and apply to fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and business partners.
• Show understanding of Meritain products and services with strong business and systems knowledge.
• Develop and participate in presentations to customers and partners, and to internal areas.
• Collaborate with Sales to determine product mix on proposals to reduce total cost of care.
