Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced sonographer to autonomously perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging across outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and small parts. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

Applicants should have ARDMS registration, an accredited program, and BLS; one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program.
• ARDMS registered or registry eligible in abdomen/OB-GYN/vascular.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously performs high quality, advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and small parts.
• Assists in complex invasive procedures and intraoperative cases with a team approach.
• Interprets the sonogram and communicates a preliminary clinical diagnosis to the physician.
• Identifies imaging orders for accuracy and tailors exams to patient needs.
• Maintains sterile technique, isolation precautions, and procedural documentation.
