Leidos seeks a Senior UI/UX Engineer to design and engineer mission-critical interfaces for the Chinook Program. The role is onsite in Alexandria, VA, within an Agile environment, focusing on usability, accessibility, and performance-aware UI implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 8–12 years of experience or Master’s with 6–10 years.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph ability.
• Experience building modern web UIs with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and component-based development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and agile work environments.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud/C2S and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of modern, intuitive, responsive UIs for mission-critical apps.
• Translate user needs and workflows into effective UI/UX solutions within Agile delivery.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, engineers, and stakeholders across lifecycles.
• Develop reusable UI components and design standards for program-wide consistency.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to best-practices in UI/IX engineering.
• Support accessibility and performance-focused implementations.
