Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Sr. UI/IX Engineer on the Chinook Program to shape mission-critical user interfaces for an Intelligence Community customer. You will design and engineer modern, intuitive interfaces that enable mission users to interact with complex systems and data more effectively.

The role blends design, frontend development, and collaboration across product, UX/UI, and mission stakeholders in an Agile environment, delivering responsive, accessible experiences for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience developing modern web-based user interfaces and user experiences.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or Django.
• Familiarity with responsive design and component-based development.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and agile collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Security-minded development and government system accreditation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of modern, intuitive UIs for mission-critical apps.
• Translate user needs and workflows into effective UI/IX solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Develop reusable UI components, patterns, and standards.
• Apply user-centered design to simplify complex workflows and usability.
• Build prototypes and validate concepts with stakeholders.
• Partner with software teams to ensure accurate and performant implementations.
• Evaluate interfaces to improve usability, accessibility, and responsiveness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and PI Planning.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers.
