Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Solder Technician III to test and troubleshoot electronic and control systems for unmanned air vehicles.

You will manufacture, inspect, repair electrical systems and components, and write procedures while keeping a detailed notebook of all activities. The role requires a high school diploma or trade certificate and 5–8 years in aerospace R&D or aircraft manufacturing, with proficiency in electrical schematics and CAD.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate from a trade/technical school.
• 2–4 year advanced electronics studies preferred.
• IPC610 J-STD-001 soldering certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, test, inspect, and repair electrical systems and components for UAVs.
• Write assembly and test procedures; maintain a detailed activity notebook.
• Operate and maintain tools and stay compliant with safety procedures.
• Fabricate electronic assemblies from drawings and engineering instructions for small UAVs.
• Solder electrical and avionics components and wire harnesses.
• Field or flight testing may be required; ability to travel.
• Lead small teams or guide colleagues as needed.
