Job summary

ABB Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Leader to support the Country Trade Compliance Officer in managing the U.S. Trade Compliance Program.

You will provide strategic oversight of regulatory risks, policies, and controls across the organization and partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance with import/export, sanctions, and customs laws. The role operates remotely and contributes to the Country Trade Compliance group in the United States, leading governance, risk assessments, and

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain and/or trade management with 10+ or 12+ years of U.S. trade compliance experience.
• Customs Broker license is strongly preferred and may be required for the role.
• Certified Import and/or Export Specialist is preferred but not required.
• Proven track record managing U.S. trade compliance programs under U.S. regulations (CBP, BIS, EAR, OFAC, ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Support the CTCO in developing, implementing, and executing the U.S. Trade Compliance Program strategy.
• Lead program initiatives to ensure compliance with U.S. import/export, sanctions, and trade regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of trade compliance processes.
• Advise Local Trade Compliance Officers on risks and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with LTCOs and business units to implement compliance requirements.
• Lead training and awareness initiatives on U.S. trade compliance regulations.
• Engage with U.S. government agencies (CBP, BIS, DDTC, OFAC) as needed.
