Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth is seeking an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic in California to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will lead by example, mentor teammates, and uphold safety, quality, and professionalism in every task.

You will analyze complex malfunctions, determine repair strategies, and execute repairs across engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, electrical, and air systems while maximizing uptime for customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks incl. engines, electronics, HVAC, and chassis.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Lead by example while upholding safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Mentor and assist other technicians; analyze mechanical and electronic malfunctions.
• Repair engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical, and air systems.
• Maximize uptime and get trucks back on the road quickly and safely.
