Job summary

Burford’s Construction is seeking a Trimmer A to perform climbing, pruning, and removal tasks with safety and precision. You will work with bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other equipment, while following company safety rules.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, a valid CDL, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; work may occur in varied locations and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum requirements and read/write in English.
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice when required.
• Able to work extended periods in various locations and lift 50+ lbs.
• Must have valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Physical labor and safety responsibilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is a top priority and promote a safety-conscious environment.
• Maintain equipment and work areas, read/write and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate pruning techniques for natural and directional pruning.
• Climb trees near energized lines with required safety precautions.
• Assist in training less experienced climbers and bucket operators.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
