Job summary

Burford’s Construction LLC is seeking a skilled Trimmer A to join our vegetation management team in the field. The role emphasizes climbing, pruning, and safe operation of equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws, with a focus on preventing hazards during all tasks.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and a willingness to travel and work overtime as required. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift 50 lbs+.
• Willing to work overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and promote a safety-conscious work environment.
• Demonstrate trustworthiness and responsibility in all tasks.
• Apply proper pruning techniques including natural and directional pruning.
• Climb trees near energized lines and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Assist in on-the-job training of less experienced climbers and bucket operators.
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, chainsaws, and chippers with care.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
