Job summary

Burford’s Construction LLC is seeking a Trimmer A to join the team. The role emphasizes climbing and pruning techniques, with emphasis on safety and proficiency in equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws.

The candidate should have 3+ years of relevant experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and hold a valid CDL. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, and willingness to travel and work overtime is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant experience required.
• MUST have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs and travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is a top priority and promote a safety-conscious work environment.
• Demonstrate trustworthiness and responsibility in all tasks.
• Understand pruning techniques including natural and directional pruning for emergency restorations.
• Work with lower climber classifications and assist in training less experienced climbers and bucket operators.
• Operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, and chippers with good judgment and safety awareness.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
