Job summary

Burford’s Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Trimmer A to support pruning and removal tasks, including near energized lines. You will use bucket trucks and chainsaws, follow safety protocols, and train junior crew members. A CDL is preferred, and willingness to travel as needed.

Must have 3+ years of climbing experience, and be able to work extended periods outdoors in varying weather. High school diploma or equivalent required. English fluency required; Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant experience in tree care or climbing roles.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety as a top priority and promote a safety-conscious work environment.
• Demonstrate trustworthiness and responsibility in all job-related activities.
• Understand proper pruning techniques, including natural and directional pruning.
• Possess requirements for lower climber classifications.
• Climb trees near energized lines and perform maintenance tasks as appropriate.
• Safely remove overhangs with assistance and prune around electrical conductors.
• Knowledge of bucket trucks, chainsaws, bucket operation and chippers.
• Assist in on-the-job training of less experienced climbers and bucket operators.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed.
