Job summary

Burford’s Construction seeks a Trimmer A to perform climbing, rigging, pruning and removal with emphasis on safety and efficiency. Proficiency in using bucket trucks and rope techniques is preferred, especially near energized lines.

You will mentor less experienced climbers, conduct routine maintenance, and participate in storm restoration projects across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to PPE, safety rules, and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety as a top priority and promote a safety-conscious environment.
• Perform pruning and tree-care near energized lines with proper technique.
• Climb and rig trees, using buckets when needed, near energized conductors.
• Assist in training less experienced climbers and bucket operators.
• Follow safety rules and company policies in day-to-day work.
• Join storm restoration efforts when required.
