Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, Treasury – Payment Systems Product Owner in California to maximize value for Agile teams delivering core payments capabilities within the Payment Hub. This role combines product leadership, payments domain expertise, and enterprise collaboration to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant payment solutions.

The position supports flexible working options—remote, hub proximity, or office—with periodic in-person engagements for meetings and culture events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in financial services/payments
• 5+ years of product management or agile development in financial services/fintech
• Strong communication, systems thinking, and stakeholder management
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product vision and roadmap decisions for the Payment Hub using data, insights, and regulatory needs
• Partner with Product Management to identify future capabilities and shape long-term platform strategy
• Own the product space from discovery through delivery, including requirements, prioritization, releases, and post-launch feedback
• Lead Agile ceremonies and provide clear product context and timely issue resolution
• Write and prioritize user stories reflecting stakeholder needs, requirements, compliance, and operations
• Oversee release activities to ensure deployments align with business priorities and run/production validation
