Job summary

Synchrony seeks a VP, Treasury – Payment Systems Product Owner to maximize value across Agile teams delivering core payments capabilities. You will shape the roadmap, own the backlog, and partner across the enterprise to ensure scalable, secure, and customer-centric payment solutions.

The role supports flexible work arrangements (work from home, near hubs, or in a hub) with occasional commuting for in-person meetings, training, and culture events. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of product management or agile development experience within financial services, fintech, or commercial banking.
• 5+ years of product management, systems analyst or agile development experience within financial services, fintech, or commercial banking.
• Exceptional communication, systems thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product vision and roadmap decisions for the Payment Hub using data, operational insights, and regulatory needs.
• Partner with Product Management to identify future capabilities, prioritize opportunities, and shape long-term platform strategy.
• Own the product space from discovery through delivery, including requirements definition and release readiness.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and provide clear product context and timely issue resolution.
• Write and prioritize user stories with understanding of requirements, compliance, and operations.
• Oversee release activities to ensure deployments are planned and aligned to business priorities.
• Monitor KPIs to evaluate product success and cross-team performance.
