Job summary

Direct Travel is seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Consultant to lead onboarding and technical setup for new clients, products, and platforms, ensuring accurate configurations and validated data for a smooth sales-to-ops transition.

The role blends technical aptitude with client service and process coordination, ideally within the travel industry, and requires extensive experience in travel tech, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, IT, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of onboarding/implementation experience in travel, SaaS, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of travel tech and booking platforms (Spotnana, Concur, Deem, Sabre, Amadeus).
• Demonstrate leadership as project lead or in project support.
• Project management with multiple concurrent deadlines and priorities.
• Attention to detail, organization, and verbal/written communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Smartsheet, Jira/Asana, and Salesforce.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementations for new customers – including platforms and tools.
• Configure client accounts, tools, and data mappings.
• Gather client strategy and requirements and map to DT tech value.
• Plan and organize project deliverables, timelines, and CRM records.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Sales, IT, and Ops.
• Lead internal/external project calls and activation milestones.
• Facilitate smooth handoff to operations post-implementation.
• Conduct system and user acceptance testing of tools and data feeds.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution with teams or vendors.
• Document configurations, decisions, and design for clients.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables checklists, and setup guides.
• Provide reporting support during implementation (audit logs, completion rates).
• Support commercial teams for strategic accounts.
