Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager - Transportation to lead complex transportation infrastructure projects across Connecticut and the Northeast. The role emphasizes highway/roadway design, client management, and delivery oversight from New Haven or Hartford, CT.

You will mentor staff, grow client relationships, and coordinate with public agencies, ensuring projects meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Connecticut PE preferred.
• 15+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience.
• Proven experience managing highway, roadway, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of CTDOT standards and project delivery processes.
• Experience with municipalities, state agencies, and federal transportation programs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation projects from planning and design through construction support.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including state and local agencies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resource planning, and quality control.
• Mentor and develop project managers and junior engineering staff.
• Support business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local design standards and regulations.
