Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead planning, design and delivery of transportation projects nationwide. You will collaborate with engineers and PMs on Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3, and other delivery types, using ORD for roadway design and contributing to reports and model work.

Fully remote candidates are considered; a Fairfax, VA hybrid arrangement is preferred. Travel may be required by project needs, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and quality control across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license in VA or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 8+ years in transportation infrastructure design.
• Proficient in ORD for roadway design and modeling.
• Strong communication and collaboration across dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on highways, interchanges, tollways, and transit corridors.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop design solutions.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams, clients, and contractors.
• Develop and review plans, specs, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
• Participate in proposal development, design-build pursuits, and presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support career development.
• Ensure QC and compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Stay informed on industry trends and alternative delivery methods.
