Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead design and delivery of transportation projects across multiple delivery methods. You will collaborate with engineers and PMs on design-build, P3, and other approaches, using ORD for roadway design and contributing to reports and plan production.

The role supports hybrid work with a preference for a Fairfax, VA base; fully remote candidates will be considered.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Eight or more years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
• Active PE license in VA or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) for roadway design and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on transportation projects (highways, interchanges, tollways, transit corridors).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices to develop design solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support career development within the project team.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with standards and client requirements.
