Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Director, Project Management for the Mountain Pacific Region. This role oversees major transportation programs, leads cross‑functional teams, and ensures project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.

Located in Pacific Northwest offices, the position requires extensive A/E/C project management experience and PMP/CAP‑M certification. Responsibilities include proposal development, budget oversight, change management, QA/QC, and client reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or related discipline.
  • 12+ years post-education experience with 5+ years in transit/ transportation projects.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery in A/E/C; solid project management background.
  • Essential project management certification or equivalent (PMP, CAP-M).
  • Highly analytical with organizational and business-sense skills for effective decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills for leadership and collaboration.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and PM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support major transportation programs and projects.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams; monitor budgets, hours, expenses, and compliance.
  • Contribute to proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resources.
  • Assist with budget development, ETCs, recovery plans, and invoicing.
  • Document scope changes and support QA/QC activities.
  • Develop project management reports and quality plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with management to report to clients on status and risk.
