Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Director, Project Management for the Mountain Pacific Region. You will oversee major transportation programs, coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers and PMs, and ensure delivery aligns with contracts and client expectations.

This role can be located in any Pacific Northwest office. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in project management for transit, PMP or equivalent, and strong leadership, communication, and planning skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of relevant post-education experience with 5+ years in transit/ transportation projects.
  • Understanding of project delivery within the A/E/C industry with strong PM background.
  • PMP or CAP-M or equivalent certification.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and PM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support major transportation programs and projects.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams, manage budgets, hours, expenses, and contract obligations.
  • Assist in development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Support budget development, ETCs, recovery plans, and invoicing.
  • Assist in change management, quality management, and contract changes.
  • Coordinate with client communications, monthly status, safety, and issues reporting.
  • Manage portfolio contracts and large multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Develop PM reporting needs and tools; provide ongoing PM support.
