Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead highway and roadway design projects for Virginia clients, with opportunities to mentor engineers on a range of transportation planning and design initiatives. The role involves interfacing with clients, sub-consultants, and government agencies in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in civil engineering design and/or transportation/highway engineering.
• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, InRoads; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local design criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-modal transportation planning and design projects for diverse clients.
• Review and certify engineering plans, models and documents to meet quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on transportation design tasks.
• Coordinate and develop client and stakeholder relationships across projects.
• Prepare for and facilitate internal and client meetings and plan approvals.
