Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a senior Transportation Engineer in Illinois to design and manage diverse civil/transportation projects for state and local governments. You will perform detailed design, analysis, and calculations, while coordinating with multiple teams to meet schedules and budgets.

Candidates should have 10+ years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and a PE in Illinois. PTOE is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Illinois PE required; PTOE not required but desired; IDOT/KDOT experience preferred from the ad.

Responsibilities

• Design transportation infrastructure with a focus on roadways and highways.
• Prepare and review project reports and analyses.
• Coordinate with Survey Department on scheduling and deliverables.
• Complete work on schedule and within budgets.
• Plan and prepare transportation project plans and specifications.
• Perform periodic on-site construction observation.
