Kleinfelder, a leading engineering firm, seeks a Transportation Engineer in Illinois to deliver design and analysis for civil transportation projects with state and local clients. You will collaborate across disciplines and lead technical tasks from concept through construction.

Required: 10+ years in transportation engineering, a BS in Civil Engineering, and Illinois PE; PTOE is a plus. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Illinois PE license required; PTOE preferred.
• Experience with PowerGEOPAK and/or OpenRoads Designer preferred.
• IDOT or KDOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design of complex transportation infrastructure projects, focusing on roadway and highway elements.
• Prepare and review project reports.
• Communicates and schedules work with Survey Department.
• Completes work on schedule and within budgets.
• Plans and prepares transportation project plans and specifications.
• Periodic on-site construction observation.
