Job summary

Kleinfelder seeks a Transportation Engineer to join our team in a full-time role, performing detailed design, analysis, and engineering calculations for civil/transportation projects.

The position requires 10+ years of transportation engineering experience, a BS in Civil Engineering, and MO/IA PE; PTOE is not required but desired. Experience with PowerGEOPAK or OpenRoads Designer is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• MO/IA PE required; PTOE not required but desired
• Experience with PowerGEOPAK and/or OpenRoads Designer preferred
• MoDOT or IaDOT experience preferred, KDOT experience acceptable

Responsibilities

• Design of complex transportation infrastructure projects, with a focus on roadway and highway elements
• Prepare and review project reports
• Communicates and schedules work with Survey Department
• Completes work on schedule and within budgets
• Plans and prepares transportation project plans and specifications
• Periodic on-site construction observation
