Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Transportation Engineer in Kansas City, MO to lead design, analysis, and calculations on civil/transportation projects for State and Local Governments. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑impact solutions and ensure project success.

The role requires 10+ years in transportation engineering, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and a MO/IA PE license; PowerGEOPAK/OpenRoads Designer experience and MoDOT/IaDOT exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Missouri or Iowa PE license preferred; PTOE not required but desired.
• Experience with PowerGEOPAK and/or OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Design of complex transportation infrastructure projects, with a focus on roadway and highway elements.
• Prepare and review project reports.
• Communicates and schedules work with Survey Department.
• Completes work on schedule and within budgets.
• Plans and prepares transportation project plans and specifications.
• Periodic on-site construction observation.
