Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead complex roadway projects across multi-location teams.

You will drive design, coordination, and client relations for municipal and state DOT programs, shaping transportation infrastructure with a focus on safety, sustainability, and efficiency. The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of roadway experience, and the ability to mentor engineers while leading multidisciplinary efforts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in roadway engineering design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges and geometry.
• Knowledge of survey, grading, drainage, and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee large multidiscipline teams on complex projects.
• Coordinate scope, staffing, and client relations across projects.
• Lead design efforts, QA/QC, and progress reporting.
• Support marketing and pursuit of new opportunities.
• Mentor transportation engineers and designers.
• Maintain alignment with budget and schedule.
