HDR is seeking a Senior Highway/Roads Engineer in the United States, Virginia location. The role focuses on leading detailed urban roadway design, ensuring quality checks on interstate and state highway projects, and providing technical leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10 years minimum experience in roadway engineering design.
• Professional Engineer license recognized by licensing board for location.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical role in detailed development of urban roadway design projects.
• Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systems.
• Serve as a technical expert with authority in specialized area to solve complex problems.
• Take on project management duties and interact with clients as needed.
• Supervise medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
