Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Vienna, VA is seeking a seasoned highway/roadway design professional to contribute to moderate to large projects. You will work on alignment, drainage, and traffic control plans using local and AASHTO standards, and oversee contract plans, specifications, and estimates.

You will also help manage scopes and budgets, coordinate with clients and subconsultants, and mentor junior engineers while growing your leadership in infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PE license required.
• Proficient in highway design with CAD tools (Bentley/Autodesk).
• Experience with OpenRoads and roadway interchanges preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead highway design with alignment, drainage, and traffic control plans.
• Prepare contract plans, specs, and estimates.
• Manage projects or assist senior staff and liaise with clients.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and maintain schedule and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers.
