Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Transportation Drainage Project Engineer for our Denver/Johnstown offices with a hybrid schedule. You will lead hydraulic/hydrology analyses, prepare drainage reports, and contribute to the design of transportation drainage systems.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of drainage experience, and a Colorado PE license or plan to obtain within six months. Expect collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and client interaction in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of transportation drainage experience preferred.
• Colorado Professional Engineering (PE) License required (or obtain within 6 months of employment).
• Experience with design and plan production coordination for transportation and drainage projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic and hydrology analyses and design for transportation projects.
• Prepare drainage reports per client and industry standards.
• Oversee plan production for drainage design and related tasks.
• Lead project goals, milestones, resources, and progress tracking.
• Mentor and train other engineers; contribute to Colorado division growth initiatives.
