Job summary

BKF Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to serve as the Owner's professional representative on bridge, roadway, and related civil construction projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with contract documents and coordinating across project teams.

You will lead project staff, oversee contract administration, and manage QA/QC processes, with travel to BKF locations and client sites as needed. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years construction contract management experience for roadway/bridge projects.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency projects and federal funding document coordination desired.
• Able to effectively manage people.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Owner's professional representative on bridge, roadway, and general civil construction projects.
• Ensure projects are built in accordance with contract documents.
• Provide QA/QC oversight and manage contract administration.
• Lead and supervise project staff and ensure project profitability.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, and materials testing; oversee surveying activities.
• Conduct weekly project meetings and coordinate utilities.
