Job summary

BKF Engineers, a long-standing civil engineering and construction management firm, seeks an experienced Owner’s representative to oversee bridge, roadway, and general civil construction projects. You will ensure work is built in accordance with contract documents and meets quality standards, while safeguarding schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California Professional Engineer license and a BS in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of construction contract management experience on roadway/bridge projects.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Experience with CALTRANS and local agency projects; familiarity with federal project documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Owner on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects.
• Ensure work complies with contract documents and QA/QC requirements.
• Manage staff and contract administration; oversee project profitability.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing, and surveying activities.
• Prepare progress and final project documentation and maintain budgets, scopes, and schedules.
• Serve as primary client contact and facilitate coordination with agencies.
