Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven lean initiatives across operations in Olympia, WA. You will analyze processes, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, and lead CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Collaboration with operations management and cross-functional teams is essential. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Engineering/Business/ Supply Chain and 5+ years in transportation or logistics, with strong Excel/Power BI

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is required.
5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
Transportation experience in Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL.
Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) preferred.

Responsibilities

Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes; identifies gaps and drives CI.
Lead CI projects impacting safety, quality, delivery and cost; manage transformation plans.
Develop and demonstrate competency in lean tools and engineering methods; coach staff.
Provide regular reports and support go-live and steady-state certifications; interact with management.
