Job summary

Senior Consultant, Architect in the New York City office at WSP leads design teams on Transportation Facilities Group projects, collaborating with NYCT, MTA, LIRR, and other clients. The role involves evolving design work for rail, airports, and transit hubs across the NY Metro region.

You will oversee construction documents, coordinate disciplines, support proposals, and ensure code compliance while advancing diverse transportation facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architecture with Masters preferred.
• 5–7 years of post-education experience in architecture; transportation experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawing standards and building codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication and writing skills; highly organized.
• Understanding of NY State and NYC Building Codes; ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Leading design teams, discipline coordination, review of architectural designs and code compliance.
• Overseeing the development of construction documents, including specifications for renovations and new construction of transportation type facilities.
• Leading technical proposals and business development activities.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
