WSP USA seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to support the Transportation Facilities Group in the New York, NY office. You will lead engineering staff and develop structural designs for rail, bus stations, airports, and transportation hubs.

The role requires expertise in multiple structural software packages, coordination across disciplines, and experience with transportation projects for agencies such as NYCT, MTA, Amtrak, and NJ Transit.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering, or equivalent. Master’s degree highly preferred.
5–7 years of post-education engineering experience in transportation or related structures.
PE licensed (NY/NJ) or able to obtain NY license within 1 year.
Knowledge of IBC, ACI 318, AISC 360, etc.
Experience with construction documents.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering staff on various task assignments.
Develop structural design details, drawings and specifications, including calculations.
Develop drawings in REVIT (BIM), AutoCAD, MicroStation and Open Building.
Use STAADPro, RAM, SAP2000, ETABS and SAFE for analyses.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects.
