Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Lead Consultant, Architect for our New York City office. You will lead transportation-focused architectural design across rail and transit facilities, schools, and airports, guiding teams and coordinating with clients like NYCT and Amtrak.

You’ll share oversight with senior architects, shaping project delivery and quality. The role requires NY registrations, strong client knowledge, and experience in transit architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture is required; Masters in Architecture a plus.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in architecture.
• Registered Architect in New York.
• Strong knowledge of local clients and agency work (Amtrak, MTA, NYCDDC, DSNY, NYCT, LIRR, MNR, PANYNJ, NYDOT).
• Transit architecture experience required.
• Solid understanding of architectural tools (AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent communication and writing skills; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Project Team Management.
• Business development including teaming arrangements and proposals.
• Client interaction including presentations and liaison.
• Contract development for traditional and alternate deliverable projects.
• High level review of architectural designs and code compliance.
• Ensuring on time delivery of projects.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
