Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in New York City is seeking a Senior Consultant, Architect to contribute to the Transportation Facilities Group, delivering design across rail, bus stations, airports and related facilities.

You will lead design teams, coordinate disciplines, develop construction documents and specifications, and support proposals and business development while upholding code compliance, quality, and safety across varied transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or BA/BS in Architecture with a Masters in Architecture.
• 5 to 7 years of post-education experience; transportation experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawing standards and building codes.
• Solid understanding of architectural tools (AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent communication and writing skills, detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and multi-task.
• Understanding of NY State and NYC Building Codes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• NCARB certified a plus (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams, discipline coordination, review of architectural designs and code compliance.
• Oversee the development of construction documents, including specifications for renovations and new construction of transportation type facilities.
• Lead technical proposals and business development activities.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
