Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Project Manager with experience across outages and construction management. You will plan, direct, and manage complex projects in a matrix environment, applying Waterfall and Agile methods to deliver on schedule, cost and quality goals while maintaining Zero Harm safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field of study with 3 years of qualified experience.
• Two-year Associate’s degree in the same disciplines with 5 years of qualified experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of qualified experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise project activities from initiation to close.
• Utilize Waterfall and Agile methodologies to manage projects.
• Support safety processes and ensure a safe working environment.
• Develop and manage project/outage plan, schedule and budget; control costs and reallocate funds as needed.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and prepare reports.
• Develop relationships with internal/external customers, vendors, and partners; drive customer satisfaction.
