American Electric Power is seeking a Project Manager Senior in Columbus, OH to lead mid-to-large projects in a matrix environment. You will initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects while ensuring safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

You will communicate with internal/external stakeholders, guide teams, and promote continuous improvement across the project lifecycle. The role requires a relevant university degree with extensive project management experience, familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field with three years qualified experience, or two-year Associate’s degree with five years, or High School Diploma/GED with seven years.
• Project Manager Senior requires five years' degree-related experience, two-year Associate with seven years, or HS with nine years total.
• PMP certification is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staff.
• Lead planning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety and adherence to cost, scope, and quality requirements.
• Coach and develop team members in project management skills.
• Travel as needed (up to 25%+).
• Support contract management, vendor performance, and procurement as needed.
