American Electric Power (On-Site) in New Albany, OH, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee intermediate to complex projects within a matrix environment. You will lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closing activities with a focus on safety, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

You will mentor junior PMs, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage plans and budgets, and drive continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, PM, CS with three years qualified experience.
• Two-year Associate’s degree with five years of qualified experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with seven years qualified experience.
• PMP certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise project activities, utilizing Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Support and enforce AEP System Safety Process for a zero-harm focus.
• Manage project plans, schedules and budgets, including cost control and funding reallocations.
• Communicate project status through meetings and written/oral reports to stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with internal/external customers, staff, contractors, vendors and partners.
• Provide training and guidance to improve design, systems, processes, and schedules.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and project performance at intermediate levels.
• Mentor other project managers and supervise sub-team PMs.
• Develop procurement plans; manage outside resources and vendor contracts.
• Lead closeout analyses to assess project outcomes and benefits realization.
• Align projects with AEP organizational standards and manage programs as assigned.
