Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager to oversee all phases of transmission planning projects, from business development through execution, in North America.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, define scope and fee structures, ensure high-quality deliverables, and maintain strong client relationships. You will mentor junior staff, champion internal initiatives, and serve as a go-to technical expert in transmission system planning and evaluation, applying standards like

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 5+ years in power systems consulting or equivalent.
• Strong project management knowledge and procedures.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience leading technical consulting engagements in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects from business development to execution.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams; develop scope, budgets, and schedules; maintain client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and promote technical excellence within the team.
• Apply industry standards (NERC, FERC) and use tools like PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, ETAP and Promod.
