Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager in the United States to lead major planning studies and client engagements within a diverse utility and developer landscape.

You will drive full project lifecycles from scoping to delivery, applying robust power system analysis and leadership to cross-functional teams. Based in the Portland area, you will mentor staff, coordinate with clients on objectives, risks, and budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field from an accredited program.
• 5 years of related professional experience.
• Knowledge in project management techniques and procedures.
• Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
• Experience leading technical consulting engagements in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships through marketing, project interactions, and strategic engagement.
• Lead proposal development, project scoping, budgeting, and scheduling with clients.
• Manage full lifecycle of transmission planning projects including scope, schedule, budget, quality and client communication.
• Lead risk assessment processes and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers and analysts.
• Train and mentor junior staff on technical and project management aspects of transmission planning.
