Job summary

Entergy in New Orleans, LA, seeks a senior leader to manage all transmission line maintenance and blanket capital activities within the transmission grid. You will provide leadership to direct reports, company and contract crews, ensuring safe work practices at all times.

You will coordinate with engineering, operations, customers and contractors, manage schedules and budgets, and oversee 24/7 response, outages, and risk assessments to keep the grid secure and reliable.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent.
• 6+ years of transmission-related utility experience.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and respond 24/7 on a weekly rotation.
• Knowledge of transmission line construction, safety procedures and policies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lead across multiple disciplines and teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all transmission line maintenance and blanket capital activities.
• Provide leadership to direct reports, company and contract crews.
• Maintain a safe work environment and safety culture for all personnel.
• Oversee contract personnel and ensure teamwork and morale.
• Direct engineers in developing design packages, calculations and standards.
• Interface with engineering, transmission, distribution, generation, and customers.
• Engage with customers about work plans impacting their business.
• Coordinate with contractors to support business needs.
• Direct response personnel for outages and emergency events, 24/7 coverage.
• Lead root-cause analysis and COS updates.
• Support asset management in annual capital and O&M plans.
• Develop and implement project schedules within budget and scope.
• Oversee Helicopter and UAS programs for Louisiana operations.
• Provide guidance on resource deployment and execution strategies.
• Support risk assessments with the engineering team.
