Job summary

Entergy, a leading energy provider in Louisiana, seeks a Supervisor, Transmission Lines to lead maintenance and blanket capital activities in the transmission grid. You will guide teams, manage contractors, and ensure safe practices while coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires 6+ years in transmission utilities, a BS in engineering, and readiness to work irregular hours with on-call duty; travel 25–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) or equivalent work experience.
• 6 years of transmission related utility experience required.
• Available to work irregular hours and respond 24 hours a day to system events, outages and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety culture for transmission line employees and contractors.
• Manage contributors and contract personnel; develop staff and resources.
• Oversee engineers who develop transmission line design packages and evaluations.
• Coordinate with transmission, distribution, and generation teams and external customers.
• Direct response personnel during failures/outages; ensure 24-hour coverage.
• Assist Asset Management in capital and O&M planning; manage project schedules and budgets.
• Manage Helicopter and UAS programs for Louisiana.
• Support operations during storms and advise on resource deployment.
• Support risk assessments with engineering team.
