Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Transmission Field Coordinator in New Orleans to lead planning and readiness for high‑voltage transmission line and substation work. You will identify hazards, evaluate ROW conditions, and determine when EWP or BMAD analyses are required, ensuring first‑time‑right execution.

You will coordinate with engineering, environmental, ROW, and construction teams to remove barriers, prepare switching steps, and ensure safe, compliant work practices across transmission projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or related work experience.
• 7+ years of Substation, Relay, or Linework experience in distribution or transmission.
• To be eligible to test, meet five years of discipline-specific field experience or SVP approval.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership and high‑risk work planning, integrating Life Critical Rules and MAD/BMAD requirements into all plans.
• Validate work packages against structure standards, hardware, and substation equipment specifications; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare switching packages, clearances, isolation points, outage sequencing, and coordination with Transmission Control Center.
