Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Transmission Line Engineer (Remote) to join the Transmission Line Engineering Department. You will lead a small team, collaborate with in-house and client engineers, and coordinate training for junior staff while driving projects to completion.

You will design 69 kV to 765 kV transmission lines, prepare construction documents, utilize PLS-CADD, and participate in contractor meetings, with occasional site visits.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s in civil or electrical engineering is required.
• Master’s degree counts toward years of experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design activities for transmission lines 69–765 kV.
• Prepare construction documents, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Develop design alternatives and cost estimates.
• Lead and mentor engineers; coordinate cross-functional work.
• Oversee project completion and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Travel occasionally for site visits.
