Job summary

Actalent seeks a Transmission Project Engineer to design and lead transmission line projects from 12 kV to 765 kV. You will perform engineering analysis, create construction documents, and model with PLS-CADD while coordinating with regulators and contractors.

You will mentor junior engineers, help develop design options and cost estimates, and manage project schedules in a fully remote permanent role, with base connectivity to Chattanooga, TN and nationwide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (ABET) required.
• Minimum two years of transmission line engineering experience.
• Masters degree will count toward years of experience.
• PE license desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line design activities including engineering analysis, route selection, and construction management.
• Prepare project construction documents and Bills of Materials.
• Develop design alternatives and cost estimates for projects.
• Design transmission facilities from 12 kV to 765 kV and model with PLS-CADD.
• Conduct bid meetings and ensure safety and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate permits with governmental/regulatory agencies; lead teams and mentor engineers.
