Job summary
Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Transmission Line team. The role focuses on the design of high voltage transmission lines (69kV–500kV) using PLS-CADD and is open to remote work from any location.
You will lead complex design tasks, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, develop construction documents, estimate costs, and mentor junior engineers while delivering clear client communications and robust technical solutions.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited engineering degree required
- Minimum 10 years engineering experience, 8 years in transmission line
- PE license required
- Experience with high voltage transmission line design
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD and MFAD/LPILE preferred
- Ability to work independently and mentor others
- US work authorization required
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and define project scope
- Develop construction documents for transmission lines
- Prepare design criteria, plan and profile drawings, and structure drawings
- Coordinate design aspects, estimate construction costs, specify materials
- Serve as client contact and ensure project success
