Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to work on high-voltage transmission design projects for major utilities. You will apply established standards and contribute to design, analyses, and construction documentation.

The role focuses on independent execution using PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE, collaboration within a multi-person team, and occasional travel. Hybrid schedules and relocation support are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of electric utility transmission design.
• Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with clients and project teams.
• Willingness to travel or work onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-voltage transmission line design tasks meeting codes and standards.
• Prepare and review drawings, specs, and calculations under leads.
• Perform PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading calculations.
• Contribute to process improvement with new tools and AI/automation.
• Coordinate project progress with Project Manager to meet schedule and budget.
