Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a Principal Transmission Line Engineer to lead high voltage transmission line projects (69kV–500kV) across Power and Renewables. You will design and coordinate using PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE, develop construction docs, and act as a primary client-facing SME to grow our team.

The role requires a PE license, 20+ years of experience, and strong leadership and mentoring abilities. This remote role offers a competitive base compensation and opportunity to influence project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; multi-state licensure preferred.
• Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transmission line projects across Power and Renewables lifelines.
• Develop final construction documents including plan and profile drawings and structure details.
• Provide expert consultation for design, development and implementation of technical plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal design standard improvements.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and act as client-facing SME.
