Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking Lead Engineer level candidates for its Transmission Line group to design high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD.

Open to remote or any location, you will lead cross-disciplinary collaboration and deliver construction documents and criteria for line projects. The role requires ABET-accredited engineering degree, 7+ years of engineering experience (5+ in transmission lines), and a PE license; proficiency in PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE and utility experience are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school
Minimum of 7 years’ engineering experience, 5 years in Transmission Line Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred
Experience with utilities is highly preferred

Responsibilities

Design high voltage transmission lines (69kV-500kV) using PLS-CADD
Coordinate design aspects with multi-discipline teams
Develop construction documents, criteria, and drawings for transmission lines
Estimate construction costs and specify materials
Review project drawings, calculations, and specifications
